Florida Fingerprinting & Background Checks

Florida FDLE Live Scan Fingerprinting Services

Utilize our Florida Live Scan locations to submit your fingerprints electronically to the FDLE for a level two background-check. The state of Florida's primary Criminal Justice Agency oversees the processing, ensuring comprehensive and accurate background checks for all residents.

As an Approved Live Scan Vendor in Florida affiliated with FDLE, PrintScan is your trusted partner for all Florida Live Scan fingerprinting requirements.

Eligibility for FDLE's Florida Live Scan Services

Our Florida Live Scan services, in line with FDLE level two background-check standards, cater to private individuals, businesses, and government agencies.

Florida's public records law permits individuals to request an FDLE state-only criminal history record check. Additionally, certain professions mandate regular state and national criminal history checks, as dictated by regulatory or licensing bodies.

Understanding the ORI (Originating Agency Identifier)

The ORI, or Originating Agency Identifier, is a unique code provided to applicants by the respective agency. This code serves a dual purpose: it indicates the reason for your background check and instructs the FDLE on where to send your results.

When you submit your fingerprints electronically through Florida Live Scan, the background check is typically completed within three business days. To schedule a Florida Live Scan appointment, you must first obtain the ORI number directly from the concerned agency.

Deciphering the TCN (Transaction Control Number)

The TCN, or Transaction Control Number, is a unique identifier that allows you or your agency to track the status of your fingerprint submission within the Florida system.

To check the status using your TCN, visit FDLE's TCN Lookup. Alternatively, you can contact FDLE directly at 850-410-8109. When reaching out to FDLE, be prepared to provide the date of your fingerprinting and your TCN number.
